The crash, involving multiple vehicles including a tractor-trailer, happened around 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26 near the Savin Hill Exit, according to Tweets from MBTA Transit Police and Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
Two right lanes were closed and one left lane was closed, according to MassDOT
The crash caused damage to fences, blocking service for Red Line Braintree trains between JFK/UMass and North Quincy, according to a Tweet from the MBTA. Shuttle buses were used to replace service.
